On Saturday, Oct. 22, I had my first sample of “spice”, or synthetic weed. I’m not familiar with the brand name, and all I can tell you is that it worked. In a way. It wasn’t the same high that I had experienced when smoking weed. Granted, I wasn’t very experience at the art of toking, so I can’t say whether this material was better or worse. But what I did Saturday isn’t the focus here. It’s just back story so you know how experienced I am with synthetics.

Tonight, Oct. 25/26, I purchased 4 grams of a product called “Rain”. I wasn’t expecting much, as my previous purchase of Spice 99 was a dud (no high what-so-ever). I drove to my friend’s house, tonight as his first time trying a synthetic blend, and I rolled a small joint. I’d say maybe two pinches, less than half a gram. We lit up in my car and I had the first toke.

In total, I had three hits, he had two. I lit a normal cigarette, already beginning to feel a slight body high. Two drags later my legs went numb. I raised the cigarette to my mouth and my hands went numb. Suddenly they looked like they were miles away, and every movement of my body was slow and weak. I looked at the clock. It was 9:00.

We started talking in hushed voices, laughing at the effects. I was far past the high that my last bowl of weed gave me. I was shooting towards the high I got the first time I’d ever smoked. I looked at the clock after what seemed like hours. 9:01.

Suddenly I was up, past the point of my first joint. I felt like I was someone else, like my body was a video game. I couldn’t feel pain. My cigarette hadn’t grown any smaller, despite what felt like hours of smoking. I distinctly remember rolling down the window so that my friend and I didn’t die of carbon dioxide poisoning (although I doubt we would have. Reaching for the pack of soda that I keep on my back seat was the hardest thing in my life. It felt like an Olympic task. I looked at the clock. 9:02.

At 9:05 we stepped out of the car, intending to walk. We made it to the trunk of my car and leaned back on it. We stayed there, talking about absolutely nothing, yet everything at the same time. After thirty minutes in the cold we sat down. By now I was freaking out, because I didn’t expect the high I had gotten. I was expecting something weak, barely above normal.

We were high for one hour. As quickly as it came on, it dropped off. This hour felt like days. I know most people have issues keeping track of time when they’re high, but this goes beyond anything I’ve ever felt before.

Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to give an adequate description of the effects. If you want something that will knock you off your feet for an hour, buy Rain. It comes in a black pack, usually for 4 grams, and it has the Seattle skyline on it. The name is in a dark green. But be warned: don’t purchase it if you’re looking for something fast and medium-powered. This isn’t something you can smoke and head to work on. Only use it if you’re looking for a mind-blowing night.

Ya know..I’ve tried lots of these blends. I like them better than mj because mj puts me to sleep; this other stuff gives me some energy and I clean house & stuff, do writing, hang with my people, etc. I’ve never had one that really f’ed me up, though. Back in the day there was zohai and that was great, but they stopped putting the strong stuff in it.

However–I tried Rain because a shop near my house had it. And even smoking through the water pipe, it is really, really hard on my lungs. I like the effect, but it’s not worth it.

Normally I don’t have a cough or any other adverse effects when I use the water pipe. No problems the next day, no hangover. But this stuff was different. I won’t get it again.

There’s a product called Dead Man Walking that gives gentle stimulation and meditativeness, and it’s never messed up my throat unless I smoked it from a pipe, which is a no no. I have smoked it for maybe a year.

Do not use a pipe, get off that immediately. It will kill your lungs. Water pipes or vaporizers are way way safer. It’s not worth it to mess yourself up physically.

Rain isn\’t for kids who want a weed experience. My first rain experience was my first rain experience. I have done weed and every kind of spice. RAIN isn\’t bad, it\’s just powerful and it feels great. TOO great. I never did heroin or crack or anything but rain is a high that seems perfect. BUT WHO KNOWS WHATS IN IT… Even if we knew the ingredients, we still wouldn\’t know what that means to our body by smoking it… fyi And parents… Relax

I just got done putting a blanket and pillow into the bathroom for my sister. She had smoked not even half a bowl’s worth of this shit in her bong before taking a shower. she stumbled out and into her bedroom and called for me. when i came in, her lips were white and her pupils were huge, and she said she didn’t know what was going on and that she felt sick. i had to lay there with her convincing her she wasn’t going to die and direct her breathing. i just set her up in the bathroom because it’s cold and next to a toilet. she’s falling asleep, hopefully.

i don’t know what the hell is wrong with kids these days. this shit is DANGEROUS. it’s not ‘cool’ to smoke spice, you fucking idiots. i’m your age, too, it’s not like i’m some uptight middle-aged woman worried about the youth of today; if you all got run over by a fucking bus, the world would be a better place. stick to NATURAL, i don’t know why you insist on huffing chemicals like fucking losers. it broke my heart to see my little sister lying there crying and trying to puke, thinking she was going to die and not recognizing she was in her own goddamned bedroom.

nobody should smoke any kind of spice. if marijuana isn’t ‘good enough’ (yeah fucking right, maybe if you stopped purchasing schwag from that dipshit you go to high school with, you’d have some real shit to smoke), try hash or edibles or something. way bigger high, and STILL NATURAL. jesus fucking christ.
